World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items give players the ability to upgrade equipment that they already own. This can be done by any item upgrader NPC.
Upgrades can boost the stats of an item and add additional features based on the type of item. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs or Goldwraps for casting builds.
Armour
Armour is among the main factors that keep Link protected from damage in the majority of situations. Although it isn't upgraded like weapons, you can still enhance its defence capabilities in different ways.
Armour is designed to protect animals and people from injury or harm regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or a variety of activity or environmental hazards. In the past, most armour was made from fabric or leather, but metal protections were also utilized in military applications, particularly like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
There are many ways to upgrade armour, however, the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain offers a different degree of improvement with higher levels of protection that require more rupees and materials.
The first thing to note about Armor Upgrades is that they are upgrades that last forever which means that after they've been put in place, they are not able to be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. It is recommended to only apply the most advanced upgrades to your equipment, and ensure that you have the materials required to complete them.
You will find the upgrades you need in many locations throughout Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants, and even enemies. These will generally be marked with a gold circle or a blue triangle, and are available in large numbers as you progress through the game. They can appear randomly, but there is a possibility that getting certain upgrades can trigger a quest that will reward you with more.
It is also important to note that although the level of protection offered by each upgrade differs, it is the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. This is because a complete set of upgraded armour will provide you with a substantial defense boost that protects you from all types of attacks, except magic, making it a powerful weapon for any class.
Weapons
If you want to make your guns distinctive, you can upgrade them by utilizing a variety of unique upgrades. These upgrades can boost damage or alter the performance of the weapon in accordance with your specific build. They can also unlock new attachments, such as unique enchantments, various types of ammunition, as well as aesthetic options.
You'll require both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon has to be at least a certain level before you can upgrade it. Most weapons only be upgraded by one upgrade.

Prioritize upgrading your top-in-slot items first. Then, upgrade the items that you're not likely to replace in the near future. Upgrade your weapon first, then upgrade your shoulders, chest hands, feet, and hands if you plan to play in a melee-based build. The same principle goes for Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that certain products may be superior to others based on the style of play you prefer. The same is true for Armour Reforges, with certain types being better than others.
Magic Items
A character can upgrade only one magic item at a time. If an upgrade project is cancelled and the next upgrade for that item will not begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to create or purchase, but they can provide other benefits.
A magical item is any item that has some special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, however some are also armor, shields and cloaks, potions, scrolls, rings, and other items. Certain of these items can be made to speak.
Most magical items can be upgraded to be equipped with additional capabilities. This makes them more useful to players, or can help them overcome any difficult situation. A weapon that is infused with an ingredient that is unique could offer, for instance, extra damage against a certain enemy type. This is especially beneficial for those who have reached the level where they're likely to face a single kind of monster over and over again in dungeons.
A ring with an infusion could grant protection against piercing, bludgeoning or slashing damages from non-magical attacks (not even silvered ones) until the next time the character takes a long rest. This is particularly beneficial for melee fighters or any other character who wants to avoid the hassle and expense of buying an armor.
Certain items enchanted by magic have special abilities that let the character cast spells in addition to the ones on the list of spells for their class. This is useful for characters who have difficulty filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These enchanted items typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use them, and the spell's effectiveness is determined by rolling on an index based on the number of Intelligence points expended.
Other items that are enchanted can let the user change their appearance, or even create a new appearance. upgrade item are particularly useful for characters who have been forced to leave their home, or are in a place that they might not be welcomed. A magical item could provide them with an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to all but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are anything that isn't part of the categories of Armor or Clothing and have a variety of capabilities. They are not compatible with each other, unlike Armor or Weapons. Most utility items provide a passive effect that the player can activate by using them, however, some come with additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses the button or activates a skill.
The Flashlight is the most commonly used accessory. It illuminates the area around it. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving and the Jetpack which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Several useful items can be immediately created in the Engineering section while others can be unlocked through Research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to those that are available in their normal inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.
The majority of utilitarian items provide the player with a navigational advantage or increase the ability to fight. For instance, sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power as well as Maintenance Oils created by the Huntsman increase the power of concentration and healing. Other utility items such as Writs or Theses created by the Scribe can be used to give players either an increase in damage or condition damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip a single utility item to begin the campaign. An additional slot is available once you have completed certain engineering, research, or experiments on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are created by equipping the Grenade Launcher, which allows players to equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot while an offensive grenade is placed in the main grenade slot.
